Launch Week Day 4: New inventory dashboard

Introducing a unified, birds-eye view of all your cloud assets.

Managing and securing cloud infrastructure can be a daunting task. With resources spread across various regions and accounts, getting the complete picture of your cloud environment is difficult or outright impossible. As organizations adopt multi-cloud strategies, this complexity increases exponentially. The need for a unified, birds-eye view of all your cloud assets becomes critical to maintaining security, ensuring compliance, and optimizing resource utilization.

After all, you can’t secure resources you didn’t know you had.

Dashboard

As part of our launch week, we’re excited to introduce the new inventory dashboard. It was designed to give you a comprehensive overview of your cloud resources and their security status, all in one place. No matter what account, region or even cloud they are located in. Let’s dive into what makes our inventory dashboard a game-changer for your cloud security management.

Key features

Security score

The security score provides a quick snapshot of your overall cloud security posture. It highlights areas that need immediate attention and tracks improvements over time. Clicking it takes you to the in-depth Security Dashboard.

Resource management insights

Right next to the security score you will find information about changes in your cloud environment with metrics on resources created, updated and deleted.

These insights help ensure that all modifications are accounted for and assessed for security implications.

Following any of these links will take you to History, providing a complete changelog of your cloud environment.

Selecting an individual entry, will show you the details of each change, making it really easy to understand how a resource has changed and when.

Detailed resource breakdown

Gives a comprehensive view of your most important cloud resources and how they changed in the past week.

Each item is a link to the inventory search, allowing you to view a list of all related resources across all your clouds and accounts.

Trend analysis with resources under control

Visualize daily resource trends with stacked bar charts. This section helps you quickly identify unusual changes or trends in resource usage.

Why it matters

The new inventory dashboard is a critical tool for maintaining and enhancing your cloud security posture.

By providing a unified view across clouds, it helps you to eliminate blind spots and ensures nothing goes unnoticed. This view can be especially valuable for non-technical members of the team or executives who so far saw “Cloud” as a black box.

By offering real-time insights and a detailed security score, the dashboard enables you to proactively manage and mitigate risks. You can quickly identify vulnerabilities and take corrective actions before they become major issues.

The detailed resource breakdown and activity logs help you ensure compliance with various security standards and regulations. You can easily track and document changes, making audits smoother and more efficient.

With visibility into resource utilization trends, you can identify underutilized or unnecessary resources, leading to significant cost savings. Optimize your infrastructure to match your actual needs, avoiding overspending.

When issues arise, having a centralized dashboard with links to detailed inventories means faster root cause analysis and resolution. Quickly drill down into specific resources to troubleshoot problems effectively.
